BA (Hons)
Film & TV

My name is Rachel Stevens, I am a 22-year newly grad student at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David, and a screenwriter. The UK film industry is one that is constantly evolving and growing apace, It is an industry that I find is to be very demanding and few careers can offer the same level of creative buzz and career satisfaction, thus being the reason why I couldn’t see myself working in another industry.

Being a scriptwriter is full of different levels of excitement, fun, depressing, gratifying, and fulfilling. It’s something that I find myself always enjoying, the feelings that are experienced once completing a script that you’ve worked so hard on is unexplainable, even more so when you see your script come to life on screen. I look forward to what my future has in store for me as a writer, and I hope that I carry on learning the craft to a standard that will give me the ability to create a script that inspires audiences around the world.

‘Crime in Townhill’ Project

The video shown below is a short portfolio displaying the produced work created with three small scripts created by me. Each script was developed with three concepts, these being three different styles of crime. The video, Crime in Townhill, is not only to exhibit my writing but also some camera work, along with still photos displayed below of my favourite images that I had captured within this project and others after.
