Nella Casabella’s work investigates the relationship between past and present, conscious and subconscious. Time, memory and human relationships are some of the themes dealt with in her photographic practice.
This body of work is a selection from the series Passing by.
The series is a reflection on the the steadiness and fugacity of life and the human innate desire to conquer time, and grasp the inevitable fleeting. Nature has a symbolical connotation and a central role throughout the whole series; its elements, characterised and defined by time, are used to emphasise the changes and deterioration that accompany every being.
