‘The Hands That Hold Me’

A body of work focused around investigating the lives of two people, from the perspective of a young woman. ‘The Hands That Hold Me’ is an ongoing exploration into the lives of close family members, along-side a journey of self-discovery. An extended catalogue of images is also included in the form of a book, a new take on the family photo album.

While taking inspiration from my surroundings, my current work explores my own life and my family archives. Working intimately with archival imagery has broadened perceptions and concepts surrounding memory and my journey through self-awareness. Sensation through memory is something that resonates throughout my recent work, looking closely at the patterns it creates in my life and reflections onto those around me.
