I am a graduate in BA (hons) Automotive and Transport Design from the University of Wales, Trinity St. David. I have developed competent design skills in different areas such as: soEware – AutoDesk, Alias, Vred and Photoshop alongside strong practical skills such as: clay, high density foam, and hard modelling. These skills have enabled me to create design responses for live briefs such as three provided by McLaren – Autonomous GT Car 2050, City Car 2050, vehicle that McLaren have not designed before. I also applied my skills to UWTSD’s Engineering Departments project for designing a Future Modern Retro Scooter using an already existing package drawing. These briefs were set to a tight deadline which were to be met. Since then I have developed and refined these skills to work for my own briefs. I have strong visualisation skills in the conceptualisation of an idea. I enjoy working on projects from initial ideas through to final presentation. My strengths in practical skills with clay modelling and 3D work has been demonstrated with my latest model, The Emergency Response Machine, or ERM. This project was designed from thorough research and extensive design development and shows commitment to my work.
