The vessels I have created are to represent togetherness and equality in our society by blending different materials and shapes to create an eclectic collection of mis-matched ceramic pieces. This idea stemmed from my recent research into the inclusion of people with Autism in our creative society, always wanting to accept people’s differences and embrace the diversity that we have as people.
The black clay and porcelain pieces are a rough and smooth combination creating an interesting concept. The use of monochrome colours in my work creates a simple yet almost dramatic outcome. The collection can be grouped together although each individual piece stands strong and meaningful if standing alone.
