The Surface Pattern and Textiles Class of 2022 student experience is entirely unlike any year group before them.\u00a0 For the last three years they have felt the impact of the pandemic, and for most of this group that is every year of their time spent in university.\u00a0 Somehow, through this challenging time, we have packed it in, and they have more than brought it to the table.<\/span><\/p>

This cohort will be characterised by some of the brilliant projects that they have taken part in \u2013 notably for 3<\/span>rd<\/span> years these are idott, Patternbank and Rolls Royce, with our MDes graduate taking part in the highly successful St Fagans and Orangebox projects.\u00a0 It has been inspiring for all of us that the design world has continued to support the next generation of talent through projects such as these and has shared our enthusiasm for the energy and freshness of the students\u2019 ideas, skills and innovations.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Recently it has been our privilege to welcome back visitors to campus, and their awe at seeing our recent Rolls Royce x Your Vision exhibition and the Degree Show of 2022 was palpable.\u00a0 To have been able to celebrate creativity, designing and making together from our beloved Dynevor Campus is a fitting send off for the Class of 22.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

These students understand the importance of design and the role it plays in our society.\u00a0 We are super proud of them.\u00a0 We are optimistic for the Class of 22 and hope to stay in touch as they continue to grow and navigate their new creative pastures.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>
