ABOUT RUTH
My work is explored through the processes of lace making, using traditional and contemporary processes. My main inspirations have been contemporary artists Anne Wilson and Simon Periton, both use experimental approaches to lace making in public spaces. The process of my work has evolved through handmade traditional methods such as crochet lace making to create a series of traditional table doilies. My work is experimental and has evolved through construction in a physical space.
