The class of ’22 have endured trials unlike any past graduate has seen and hopefully won’t be seen again. The majority of their university experience has been clouded by the shadow of covid, lockdowns and remote learning.
Despite that, illustration has lifted that shadow. Through narrated tales of robots and monsters, picture books dealing with complex and difficult situations, whimsical doodles and more, our graduates have used their image making skills to make sense of their surroundings.
Throughout their time at Swansea, the graduates have found their ‘illustrative voice’. Whether that is through a digital means of image making or traditional approaches, the end goal is the same, artwork that is insightful, sometimes intriguing but always inspiring.
